From an impressive ornate entrance gate you will enter a private historical house overlooking a wonderful garden. This timeless, warm and friendly property is fully dedicated to guests.

Located close to the Palais of Compiègne (50 meters), this historic guest house of about 3 230 square feet, was built over the foundations of an ancient convent. The sophisticated antique decoration will transport you to the period of the well known historical 'séries' celebrations. Those famous parties were organized by Eugenie, Napoleon III's wife. The most famous Artists, composers, writers, scientists and politicians of the 2nd Empire were invited.

Your breakfast will be served in a dining room, dating from the time of Napoleon III, with a stone cabochon floor and wall-mounted antique mirrors.

After a busy day of work or leisure, you will surely appreciate a rest in the living room, in Louis XV armchairs close to the fire place and a grand piano. You will also be able to rest in the other lounge room with a 'parquet de Versailles' floor and Louis XVI decoration, where you will discover, through all the books of the library, the area of Compiègne and it's history.

Due to its location in the historical heart of Compiègne, this guest house will transport you to another era.

 

Planted with hundred year boxwoods, the overhanging garden, dating from the ancient convent, will welcome you for summer breakfasts or end of day refreshments.

 

Each room will transport you to the Imperial period, with its antique furniture and fine fabrics offering a different themed decoration evoking famous characters or historical sites linked to Compiègne.

 

The private house offers five large comfortable and elegant rooms. 3 junior suites and 2 superior rooms with bathrooms equipped with Italian jet shower or bathtub. Upon reservation a private Spa-jet relaxation will be offered free of charge.
